Medical facility available for lawyers
Lahore High Court Order (Writ Petition No. 1778/24)
Justice Jawad Hassan has ruled in the case of Adnan Mughal Advocate vs. Federation of Pakistan that lawyers are equivalent to gazetted officers. All government institutions, especially the Health Department, are directed to provide lawyers with the same medical facilities in public hospitals as those available to gazetted officers. This decision ensures equal and quality healthcare for lawyers, recognizing their vital role in justice delivery and constitutional integrity.
Effective immediately, this order aims to eliminate discrimination in healthcare access for the legal community.
